Affordable City
People are struggling with the cost of living and the City needs to do its part to restore affordability. We need a mayor that fights for low taxes, and Stephen Dasko was the only mayoral candidate to oppose the recent regional tax hike.
Stephen will reduce fees for community groups and seniors, keep tax increases below the rate of inflation, audit all city departments to ensure savings, order a review of all City fees for services, and fight for efficiency and lower taxes at the Peel Region.
Safe City
Residents are facing an increase in crime and disorder like car thefts, break and enters, street racing, and gun violence.
Stephen will create a permanent Crime Prevention Committee, support Neighbourhood Watch Programs, work to prevent auto theft, and put pressure on the federal government to step letting repeat offenders get out on bail and prevent stolen cars from being exported from our ports.
Accessible City
Residents increasingly feel like they aren’t included in the big decisions that impact all of us. Stephen will fix that by making sure City Hall is focused on customer service, and open when you just need to talk to a real person.
Stephen has hosted more than 500 public meetings in his ward and will take that approach city-wide, making sure the public is consulted on housing development, budgeting, construction, and service changes.
Livable City
We need to work to protect and maintain the world-class quality of life in Mississauga.
Stephen will work to reduce residential speed limits on side streets like he did in his ward. He will crack down on street racing and obnoxiously loud mufflers. He knows that most Mississauga residents get around by car and will review the Bloor Street lane reductions.
Smart Growing City
Mississauga needs to grow in a way that works for our residents. Stephen opposes one size fits all upzoning and supports doing the work to make sure growth fits in local communities.
We need a world-class downtown, new housing development that fits with the community, and a reliable, practical, and convenient transit system.
With over 40% of housing applications in his ward as Councilor, Stephen knows how to work with the community and builders to get things done while preserving the character of communities.

Why I’m Running
Growing up in Mississauga, I’ve witnessed the evolution of the city first hand. Over the past six years serving on City Council, I’ve been deeply involved in shaping our city’s growth. We have a bright future.
Our first 50 years have been remarkable and our next 50 must do even more. I’m running to take Mississauga to the next level, to step-up and tackle the city’s challenges head-on to pave the way for Mississauga to become the world-class city it’s destined to be.
Mississauga deserves top-notch job opportunities and cultural experiences right here.
We know we need to invest in the city, but we must invest wisely, while keeping taxes low and finding efficiencies to alleviate the financial burden on our residents. We need to do what we can to tackle the high cost of living, most importantly by working to make housing more affordable in Mississauga.
I have a track record of getting things done. In my ward, you’ll find 40% of all development applications for new housing in Mississauga. Working collaboratively with builders and the community we can ensure quality and affordable housing in our city.
There are also rising concerns about crime. Although we pride ourselves in being a safe community, recent spikes in car thefts demand our attention.
Every citizen deserves to feel safe in their own neighbourhood.
I am passionate about Mississauga, and I have the vision and energy to lead us into the next chapter of our journey.
Together, let’s take Mississauga to the next level.
